4. Community rules and guidelines
Be kind 🙂
The is no such thing as a stupid question!?!?!
Please keep in mind that members have different levels of expertise, experiences and levels of topic specific knowledge. Therefore, everyone should feel welcome and comfortable to post their questions and comments, no matter the level of their existing knowledge. Therefore, do not harass other members if their question appears basic and instead assist them to better explore the issue or query they have.
Keep it clean!
Keep avatars, profile header images, content, posts, images and videos respectful and clean (i.e. explicit content is prohibited).
Always remain positive and demonstrate good behaviour
Discussions, debate, sharing best practices, sharing experiences and offering personal opinions is a key element of the Community and is encouraged. However, always be respectful and constructive in situations when disagreeing with others points of view and do not resort to personal abuse or disrespectful behavior towards other members (for example, any behaviour that is designed to personally insult or offend based on religion, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation or gender is not tolerated whatsoever!).
Honesty is the best policy
Be your true self and respect the rights of others. Do not create multiple member profiles, do not impersonate another person and do not create a profile of a business or legal entity without the relevant authorisation.
You agree not to post any content or material that misappropriates or infringes intellectual property, copyright or the personal right of any third-party. Relevant acknowledgments and credits should be appropriately attributed in posts along with providing a link back to the original source content or material author.
5. Community posting rules and guidelines
The following posting rules and guidelines are applicable to all types of posts, content and communications within the Community:
Avoid duplication of questions and content. Keep in mind that a question may have been asked before and an answer may have already been provided by another member or the subject matter or specific topic may have been covered in a particular Group, Discussion, Blog or Article. Therefore, as best practice and to avoid questions and answers being revisited or duplicated, perform a keyword search on your question in the Community search bar to check if a related post already exists.
Respect the privacy of others. Do not disclose, post, re-post or request personal (or identifying) information of anyone (i.e. even non-Community members).
In addition, do not post or re-post correspondence between Customer Support or Moderators on the Community or any other site. Furthermore, you may not comment or post complaining that your post was removed. Nor may you post private correspondence from moderators, such as warning notices or account suspensions in respect of non-compliance with any of the Community Policies. Questions or comments concerning warnings and suspensions should be conveyed via email at email@example.com.
Avoid posting content or material which is non-constructive. Non-exhaustive list of prohibited non-constructive posts:
Continuous posting of the same content, material or text (i.e. do no post spam, attract spam or lobby a topic continuously in multiple posts, discussions or groups).
Posts that have no relevance or substance to the subject matter or topic and are constructed in such a way to frustrate other Community members or hijack the discussion.
Solicitation or advertisements is prohibited without prior consent. The posting of links, images or content for the purpose of self-promotion is heavily monitored and may be removed by Community Moderators if the content has no added-value to the Community or is considered to be off-topic.
Commenting on redundant or old posts / topics for the main aim of pushing them into a discussion or to the top of a feed.
Use of malicious code, bots, spiders to monitor or acquire private information from other Community members through any methods (e.g. data harvesting, viruses, malware etc.).
Guidelines for posting questions and answers
Questions should be sincere attempts to obtain reusable information
The primary intention of a question should be to obtain information, not to argue a point or make a statement.
Questions should not be used to promote a business, service or goods.
Questions should encourage answers with explanation and should be as open-ended as possible. Limited-choice questions are not allowed.
Questions should not narrow the users who are invited to respond, and should not be directed at specific user(s).
Questions and Answers should be clearly written
Questions/Answers in the community require correct spelling, punctuation, grammar and capitalisation, consist of complete sentence(s) and end in a question mark or dot.
Questions are stronger if they are phrased neutrally, not containing assumptions or amplifying false information.
Questions should contain enough information to make clear how answers can meet their expectations.
Questions should be concise, no longer than 2 sentences, and only one question should be asked at a time.
Answers should directly address the question and contain sensible information.
Questions/Answers about individuals that are hurtful, mean-spirited or likely to make the person uncomfortable aren’t allowed.
Questions/Answers that constitute harassment and have the potential to make the experience of using the Community unpleasant or uncomfortable for group(s) of users may be deleted.
All content on the Community including questions, answers, and discussions should be written in English (or any other language defined by the Community).
Questions/Answers are viewed as community property
Questions/Answers that have the same meaning, will be merged into the question/answer with the phrasing that is simplest and most commonly asked.
Topics should be used to help people find information easier and faster
Topics that are not directly relevant to the question, are overly broad, or are relevant only to certain answers should not be applied.
6. License to use your content
The Community enables you to post content and materials (e.g. texts, media, links) to share with other Community Members. You agree that all content and materials posted by you on the Community may be viewed by other Community members and the general public.
